It's February Already?

The coming of the New Year really kicked us into high gear with planning for this move overseas. I had no idea what all went into this kind of a move! I've been fortunate enough to have my dear friends, and fellow Olmsted Scholars, Robyn and Jared, be one step ahead of us in the process. Although they moved to Mendoza, Argentina (yesterday, in fact!), they had many of the same to-do lists that we do. We had a little Going Away / Super Bowl Party for the Wilhelms. We sure will miss them!

Our biggest excitement right now is planning our "Familiarization Trip" that we will take for a week in April. This gives us an opportunity to meet with the university and the embassy and hopefully find a place to live. Finding reasonable flights over proved to be a tad difficult due to the time difference, starting our trek with a cross-country flight and the limited number of flights a day into Podgorica, Montenegro from other European cities. But as we have found with so many things in this process so far, the Lord provides! We were able to book a flight with a red eye from San Francisco to Paris and Paris to Podgorica. On the return flight we even managed to wedge in a 20 hour layover in Paris that we're excited to make the most of! I know it will really help me to have a tangible feel for where we will be living for the next two years to get over there and see it first hand! The people at the embassy have been an awesome connection and have been very helpful.

We're excited that the ball is really rolling now! July will be here before we know it!
